  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT the April 7, 2025 Regular Council Meeting Agenda BE APPROVED as circulated. 

The Municipal Conflict of Interest Act requires any member of Council declaring a pecuniary interest and the general nature thereof, where the interest of a member of Council has not been disclosed by reason of the member’s absence from the meeting, to disclose the interest at the first open meeting attended by the member of Council and otherwise comply with the Act.

    THAT the presentation by the Oxford Renaissance Festival BE RECEIVED for information.

    THAT Report No. PW-DR-003-25 of the Drainage Superintendent, dated April 7, 2025 concerning requests received by 6 properties for a request for new drainage works, be RECIEVED for information

    AND THAT the petitions submitted by 6 properties, under Section 4 of the Drainage Act, R.S.O. 1990, for new drainage works, in relation to properties located inside CON 5-6 LOT 21-22 (former township of West Nissouri) be ADOPTED;

    AND THAT Mr. M. P. Devos, of Spriet Associates, be APPOINTED the Engineer to investigate and prepare the necessary drainage report.

    THAT Report No. CS-004-25 BE RECEIVED for information and feedback.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Report No. LS-005-25 BE RECEIVED for information;

    AND THAT Council APPROVE the attached Draft Delegation of the Powers and Duties Chart (Appendix A);

    AND THAT the implementing by-law be CONSIDERED, as included in the by-law portion of the agenda.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Thames Centre Council REQUEST Middlesex County to conduct a traffic study to assess the need for a pedestrian crosswalk at Catherine St. and Richmond St., Dorchester due to the close proximity to the two schools, a church, conservation area and Optimist Club.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Thames Centre Council REQUEST Middlesex County to reduce the westbound speed limit on Thorndale Rd. to 50 km/h near Thames Centre Fire Station 2, with a gradual transition from the current 80 km/h. In the interest of public safety and consistency with other speed buffer zones entering the village.

Includes other business items requiring direction.

    THAT By-laws 26-2025 and 27-2025 be read a first, second and third and final time and BE ADOPTED.

Being a By-law to appoint members to various committees, boards and other bodies for the 2022 – 2026 Term of Council

  • Recommended Motion:

    RESOLVED THAT Council ADJOURN to Closed Session at X:XX p.m. pursuant to Section 239(2)(b) & (e) of the Municipal Act, in order for Council to consider items related  personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees and litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board.
