  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT the November 4, 2024 Regular Council Meeting Agenda BE APPROVED as circulated. 

The Municipal Conflict of Interest Act requires any member of Council declaring a pecuniary interest and the general nature thereof, where the interest of a member of Council has not been disclosed by reason of the member’s absence from the meeting, to disclose the interest at the first open meeting attended by the member of Council and otherwise comply with the Act.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT the presentation regarding Middlesex County - Economic Development and Tourism Updates, as presented by C. Finn, Director of Economic Development and Tourism, Middlesex County, BE RECEIVED for information.

The Court of Revision will hear any appeals to the charges being assessed to properties on the Elliot Drain Branch 'A' as outlined in the Engineers Report, provisionally adopted on October 7, 2024.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council adjourns its regular meeting at ______ p.m. in order to sit as the Court of Revision under the Drainage Act, to consider the Elliot Drain Branch 'A';

    AND THAT all members of Council be appointed to sit as members of the Court of Revision, with ______,  being the Chair

The jurisdiction of the Court of Revision is limited to specific types of appeals.  Any owner of land assessed for this drainage works may appeal to the Court of Revision on the Following:

  • Land or road has been assessed too high or too low
  • Land or road should have been assessed but has not been assessed
  • Due consideration has not been given o the type of use of land.

The Drainage Act allows property owners to file late requests for an appeal at the first sitting of the Court of Revision, if the Court wishes to pass a resolution to hear late appeals.

The Court of Revision can leave the room to deliberate in private as per the Drainage Act.

    THAT the Court of Revision for the Elliot Drain, Branch 'A' be hereby adjourned at _________ p.m. and the Council reconvene in regular session.

    THAT the minutes of the regular meeting of Council, held on October 21, 2024, BE APPROVED as circulated.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Report No. CAO-009-24, 2024 Fall Economic Update BE RECEIVED for information.

    THAT Report No. LS-012-24, 2025 Council Meeting Schedule BE RECEIVED for information;


    AND THAT the 2025 Council Meeting Calendar, as appended to this report BE APPROVED, as presented.

THAT each sports association within Thames Centre be able to honour individuals who have excelled in their sport on the recognition wall located in the hallway to the Lions Community Hall.

    THAT Council DIRECT staff to lower the speed limit on Fairview Road from the northern approach into the town of Thorndale from a 80 km/h speed limit to a 60 km/h speed limit, starting at the rail way crossing, and to have the previous 60 km/h transition to be set to 40 km/h.

Includes other business items requiring direction.
